Assignment

The assignment is to find an article on the topic of childhood development.  Once you find an article you will need to write up a one-page critique of the article.  To do so you will need to answer the following questions: 

  • Who is the audience for the article?
  • How was the research conducted?
  • What is the topic of the article?
  • Does the article emphasize heredity (nature) or environment (nurture)?
  • To which domain of child development does it refer (physical, socio-emotional, or cognitive)?
  • Does the article rely on scientific findings, expert opinion, or case example?
  • Do the conclusions of the article seem valid?
